Every photographer is different and has their own unique style and approach. So finding the right wedding photographer can be very challenging. Do some homework and interviewing. Take a look at their previous wedding work. Ask about what equipment they will use. Do they have one camera, or two or more? How many photographers? Etc.
How important is it to have a Professional Photographer shoot our wedding?
When the food is gone, the DJ is packing up, and most of the guests have left. What do you have left to show for your day?
The only thing that you have from your day is the pictures.
The consultation …
I would be happy to meet with you to discuss packages, options, and answer any questions you may have. Consultations are generally done over
coffee or in a quiet setting where we can ask each other questions.
Once you’ve decided …
We can go over the contract and photo release. You make a deposit to hold the date and discuss payment options. Next step is to pick out a URL for your website and set a date for your engagement session.
The engagement session…
In many cases, these are your first pictures together as a couple. This is a good opportunity for us to get to know each other. It will also give me a good feel for how comfortable you and your fiancé are in front of the camera. Your engagement session should be fun and reflect the spirit of your coming nuptials! Typical sessions are an hour or so and done in a location of your choice.
Setting up your website…
Once your engagement session is done, we will get to work on setting up your website. Initially we will use photos from the engagement session on your website. Imagine sending out “save-the-date” emails to all your friends with your new pictures! Once your wedding is over, we will use the site to host your images to share with your family and friends.
One last meeting…
We arrange one last meeting with you to discuss important details of your big day. Such as times, location, rehearsal, formals, and special requests.
Rehearsal…
In wedding photography every detail counts. If your wedding is local I will plan on attending your rehearsal. Not only will I get a chance to see the lighting, it will give me a good indication of where to place myself for the best vantage point and what camera/lens combination will work best.
The big day…
Once your wedding day is upon us, our team of photographers will be there to capture every detail! Your pictures should be ready for viewing a few weeks after the event.
